GO-180 ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information entrusted to us by U.S. military veterans, service members, and their families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our veteran transition support platform.
As a veteran-owned company, we understand the unique challenges of military transition and the sensitivity of the information involved. Our Commitment: Your data is yours. We will never sell your personal information to third parties. Period.
We collect different types of information to provide you with personalized transition support. Here's what we collect and why:

Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience.
Send relevant notifications about your transition timeline and new resources.
We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
When you opt-in to share your profile with potential employers through our Talent Search feature, or when you choose to connect with mentors.
Trusted third-party services that help us operate our platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and cannot use it for their own purposes.
When you request benefits filing assistance, we may transmit necessary information to the Department of Veterans Affairs with your authorization.
If you choose to connect with our financial partners (USAA, Navy Federal, Veterans United), we will only share information you explicitly approve.
When required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GO-180, our users, or others.
If we believe in good faith that a user is at imminent risk of harming themselves or others, we may contact emergency services. This is in accordance with HIPAA's emergency exception provisions.
We implement military-grade security measures to protect your information:
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt algorithms.
Role-based access ensures only authorized personnel can access user data, with comprehensive audit logging of all access.
Our servers are hosted in SOC 2 Type II certified data centers with 24/7 monitoring, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by law.
Some features use your browser's local storage to save preferences and progress data. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly sync your account. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
GO-180 is committed to compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for all health-related information, including mental health and wellness data.
When you interact with crisis support features (988 Veterans Crisis Line), those calls are handled directly by the VA's crisis services. GO-180 does not record, store, or have access to the content of those calls.
